Precious newborn babies deserve better,no matter what their mother's have done

I have to add my 2 cents on this baby being born in a filthy nasty cell with no medical assistance.  As a RN, i am absolutely furious!  What's so stupid out of all of this, she was likely at least partially  there for drug abuse &  to protect the baby from her drug abuse....then those idiots endanger that same baby's life by allowing it to be born with NO medical assistance. That baby deserved better than that!! It committed NO CRIME. The woman, by law is entitled to medical care that is adequate.  It's not the first time this has happened.  In fact, a former PV inmate has told me her baby boy died because of being born premature in a cell alone & then not receiving adequate medical care, when she also had told the medical staff she was in labor.  Seems the medical staff & the prison just think every woman's lying for attention.  I guess those nurses forgot they have a nursing board to answer to that just may think as i do.  I'm emailing the AZ nursing board tonite & urging them to investigate these nurses & healthcare agency.  It's not enough to just change medical agencies in my book.  The damage is already done.  Precious newborn babies deserve better, no matter what their mother's have done.  

Baby born at Lumley!

I was just informed a lady on Lumley gave birth in her CELL  (all by herself) at 2:15am a few nites ago after medical sent her back to her cell saying she was not dilated enough. Her neighbor heard the infant crying & yelled for help. She & baby are both okay. I am told medical is so poor they are finally going to get a new medical group.

The ladies will be getting jpay tablets in the next 2-3 weeks, supposedly.   

Also, seems SF's mail is not going thru again.  If you sent her anything & have not gotten a response, you may want to try sending it again.  SF does answer all mail, so keep that in mind.
