I got a disturbing call from Shawna this week. She states PV is going to 3rd bunk the closed management cells. This means they are going to add a 3rd bunkmate into the tiny cells that already having 2 people in them. This means there will be no room for the "desk". Just 3 bunks & toilet. The girls will basically have to lay on their bunks all the time.
Next, they are being kept in their cells 23 hours a day. Often not allowed to shower. She said she's in her cell more than when she was in solitary before they moved DR in with CM cells. They are having no rec time, cramped, crowded and moods are getting bad. If one person acts up, the whole CM is punished with a "lock down". This is causing inmates with mental disorders ( which is 3/4's or more) very agitated. There are other things too. When they are out at rec, they have no balls to play on the courts. Why? This is a group of people that should be kept calm as possible. Are they trying to cause fights & violence? What about the ACLU court case? This is NOT what PV agreed to on it.
Speaking of the ACLU, they came in and demanded PV fix the showers on CM & put the door knobs back on the insides of the doors. PV wasted no time complying. Are they tired of being fined? This is not an acceptable way to house people.
